While advisors provide guidance and support, students are encouraged to take an active role in the process. Ultimately, students are responsible for making informed decisions that shape their academic success.
Who are Your Advisors?
SoLAcc offers two types of academic advising:
- Student Success Center Advisors: These advisors assist new, returning, and transfer students during the onboarding process, including initial course registration. Some students may continue working with a Student Success Advisor during their first semester.
- Faculty Advisors: Most students will be assigned a full-time faculty advisor in their major or program. These advisors provide ongoing support throughout a student’s academic journey.
