SAFE 1003 General Craft Safety (3-0-0) 3 Credits UN Using the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Core Curriculum student guide, this course will provide instruction and hands-on experience in basic safety practices (developed from the OSHA 10 Hour Safety Training), basic construction math, hand tools, power tools, construction drawings, basic rigging, basic communication skills, basic employability skills, and materials handling. Successful completion of this course with a 70% or higher will earn the student recognized credit through NCCER, which is required for many entry level positions in the construction industry.
