ENGL 1010 Rhetoric & Composition (3-0-0) 3 Credits UT English 1010 exposes students to the critical thinking, reading, writing and rhetorical skills required in the college/university and beyond. The course will introduce students to the importance and application of “writing as process,” audience awareness, genre conventions, citation and documentation, as well as effective prose style. Equivalent to CENL 1013, English Composition I, Louisiana Board of Regents Common Course Matrix. Pre-requisite(s): English scores of ACT 18 or better; Accuplacer NG 250+; SAT English 500-639 Concurrency: None Co-requisite(s): None
