ENROLLMENT
South Louisiana Community College has an open admission policy as established by the Louisiana Legislature and approved by the Board of Regents. All students applying to SoLAcc must submit an online application for admission. Anyone wishing to apply for admission in person may do so at the main campus or any site of the college. Applicants will be admitted to the College after all admission requirements have been met. Some programs may have additional admission requirements based on the requirements of their accrediting bodies. Admission to the College does not guarantee a seat in any program.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the online application, applicants to South Louisiana Community College must meet the following criteria:
- Be at least 16 years of age, with some programs requiring age of at least 18
- Some specific programs have a high school or the equivalent requirement, immunization requirements, require a background check and/or require a drug test.
- Some specific programs require a current driver’s license.
Some specific programs have additional admissions requirements. Updated requirements are available through the EWD Advising Team located in the Ardoin building at SoLAcc Lafayette and each program office.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
International applicants are encouraged to submit all admissions requirements at least ninety (90) days prior to the start of the semester.
- SoLAcc does not provide immigration forms to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.
