Transfer Agreements
South Louisiana Community College offers a variety of degrees that in addition to completion of the degree at SLCC (Business, Criminal Justice, General Studies, Industrial Technology) can also provide transfer coursework to a four-year institution. In addition, SLCC offers the following transfer agreements:
2+2 Agreements are a set of transfer plans between two institutions facilitating accurate and efficient transfer between those institutions; the first two years are taken at the community college and the last two years are taken at the 4-year institution.
Louisiana Transfer Associate Degree
Additionally, SLCC participates in The Louisiana Transfer Associate Degree. The Louisiana Transfer degree is designed to provide students with an opportunity to complete the first 60 hours of coursework toward a baccalaureate degree at a 2-year or community college. LT graduates are eligible to enter a 4-year Louisiana public university as a junior, with all 60 (non-developmental) credits transferring to the receiving university. SLCC offers the following Louisiana Transfer Programs:
SLCC also participates in the statewide transfer program administered by the Board of Regents. This matrix lists the equivalent courses offered by all public higher education institutions in the State. Access the state’s BOR matrix for more information.
Cross Enrollment
South Louisiana Community College has partnered with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to offer SLCC students the opportunity to cross-enroll in courses that are not available at SLCC. This agreement allows an SLCC student to take courses at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL) in the same semester they are taking courses at SLCC. Courses taken at both institutions count towards full-time enrollment at the home intuition (SLCC). For additional information, visit our cross-enrollment webpage.
